Musing..
Something I just mentioned in poor ol' Duarte's LJ as he just posted about Raglan, but..

What is the SCA/Isles going to do when the banks phase out cheques in the UK, something which is approaching with ever increasing speed.

Thought I'd put the idea out to discuss! Do the SCA still have rules against electronic systems?

My lords and ladies all I am proud to announce that thanks to the hard labours of the Mynydd Gwynn events team the website for Ffair Rhaglen V is now live and ready to take your bookings.

Once again the grand castle of Raglan in Wales is open to the populace of the known world to come and enjoy all the merryments of the fair.  Along with the traditional activites such as the renowned torch lit ball, the famous castle battles and the wonderful archery shoots.  This year the fair will play host to the next Viceroy Tournament on Insulae Draconis where the next custodians of our fair Isles will be decided, not only that there will also be for the first time a feast for the pleasure of the Viceroy.

Come one and all and book early to avoid dissapoinment.

Need to contact Gonz at DW
Sorry to shotgun like this, but I urgently need to get a message to goncalves and/or gilbere, who are both at Double Wars at present. If anyone can either pass a message on or can put me in touch with someone who can then I'd be very grateful. We're having fun and games with weapons permits for rapiers and I don't want him to arrive in Keflavik and have his kit impounded.

One day in history
The British Library would like people to send their blog entries for October 17th to them, in order to make a record of national life. They're particularly interested in how history has affected your day.

It occurs to me that history affects most of our days! :) They also have a database of history-related events that we might find interesting. It might even be worth submitting some of our demos to them.
